We’ve made it to Wednesday! Here’s some top tips to avoid the mid-week slump and power through positively to the long weekend…
As #eventprofs we are lucky to have a varied work schedule and often a regular change of scenery working around different venues and with different people. However, desk based work is still a regular occurrence and taking small steps to aid productivity and have an optimistic outlook on reaching the end of your working week can go a long way. Here are a few ideas- comment below if you have any other suggestions!
1. Never underestimate the power of a list
Keep on track of tasks, cross them off as you go and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much you’re achieving and how easy it is to stay focused.
2. Keep hydrated
Avoid relying on that 4pm double-shot and keep hydrated instead- use an app to track your water intake, use a refillable bottle on your desk or make it your aim to walk to the water cooler every hour.
3. Step away from your desk
Avoid the working lunch in front of the screen- gather co-workers to join you for a walk or bite to eat, try to take time to enjoy the fresh air and a change of scenery to refocus your mind.
4. Seize the day!
Energy levels are generally higher in the morning than they are after lunchtime, so why not try setting your alarm an hour earlier and seeing what you can achieve? Whether it’s a morning workout, making time to sit and enjoy breakfast or getting ahead with a project- time is precious and an extra hour could make all the difference!
